FAO KSA Geo-Spatial Data -Met Sand Station...
The Met Sand Station is a fixed-point meteorological monitoring station shown on the accompanying sand encroachment monitoring map of Saudi Arabia. The station is located in Alhasa, Eastern Region, and is represented as a single point indicating the physical installation location. It is equipped with a CR1000X datalogger running the CR1000X.Std.06.02 program and records observations at an hourly sampling frequency. The station provides locally representative measurements of wind and weather conditions that support interpretation of sand movement and sand encroachment patterns in the surrounding area. The data are intended for site-specific analysis and should not be generalized beyond the immediate station vicinity.
